We are an inclusive faith community, celebrating God’s unconditional love for all.
Saint Peter’s Chelsea was founded (1831) by devout Episcopalian Clement Clarke Moore, on his family estate “Chelsea.”
Among his many accomplishments, Moore penned “A Visit From St. Nicholas,” one of the world’s most famous poems.
We are fortunate to worship in one of the most historic (1838) and beautiful church buildings in New York City, coupled with a landmarked Parish house, from which we feed the hungry and care for the needy.
Come visit and enjoy our Tiffany and J&R Lamb Studios stained glass windows, outdoor garden, Children’s Corner and more! You can learn more about our history and art by clicking the About Us tab above.
And if you arrive prior to 9:55am for the 10am Service, you can ask to be the one to ring the historic Clock Tower Bell!
With blessings of peace,
Your friends at St. Peter’s Chelsea
